Though the other day I worried over the lack of shopping spots at River City, I am happy that it is now a venue for a number of nice riverside restaurants.
My old PC and its monitor gave up the ghost. My new one is like light years ahead of the old beastie. Yes, I still favor my MacBook Pro for posting.
For more than six years Watcharee and I lived at River Garden. It is adjacent to the Shangri La Hotel, which meant that we were frequent visitors to its lobby and its many restaurants. For the past three years we have lived about 6 kilometers from the river, but we try to visit the old haunt a few times a year. During the past 18 months the hotel has had a major internal facelift*.
After checking out the lobby of the Shangri-La hotel we took the escalator down to the river level where the Next2 buffet is located.
Back in time.
The bridges of Bangkok....well, the new ones.
While driving over to the Sheraton Hotel I saw this 'holy' taxi near Sala Dang. The decal on the side window 'said' passengers were forbidden to do or carry any of these things while in the cab: smoke, eat durian, drink alcohol, bring dogs, fuck a friend, carry weapons or transport a buffalo to the mother of a Patpong/Nana/Cowboy bar girl.
